I had recently read “Sacred Woman”, a book by Queen Afua. She is a master healer & pioneer in the womb wellness and holistic healing movement. I learned a lot about various teas & herbal remedies to use for a healthy pregnancy and how to prepare for childbirth. I also knew I wanted to deliver naturally and at home, which was considered unconventional & very radical at the time.
